Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

Work Quality

While I have been with UHC, their standards have significantly dropped. Join any virtual meeting employees, including some leadership. They are set up in their living rooms and kitchens. Their family and friends wander around the room. As a member of the UHC health plan, I have no confidence in my information being maintained confidential. People wonder why some leadership is tightening up on remote positions, teams have a feature where you can blur your backgrounds or set a virtual background. Stop letting everyone see into your home.

My team doesn’t deal with PHI, but I don’t mind seeing people’s dogs and kids and such (and I’m not being defensive, because I have an extremely neutral looking setup in a home office and no kids to run in view etc). I get being worried about PHI, but lots of meetings wouldn’t have PHI to overhear/see.

There is zero professionalism on my team. So many are having conversations with family during meetings and or eating and chewing loudly

It’s clear… productivity and innovation doesn’t exist anymore in this new WFH environment.

Most, if not all, Telecommute P&P have standards/rules to follow in order to WFH. Sounds like those are being overlooked.

You all must be lower-level reps. Absolutely no professionalism at all.

I think you feel this way because we expect our leaders(leads, supervisors, managers etc), to live much better than we do. Then when we see that it Looks like they don’t, because they are just trying to make ends meet just like we are. Well the lower management anyways. But I do think it would look better to put up a picture screen or take their meetings against a plain wall. And it looks more professional.

Damn, have some chill OP, people are people with lives and families. How about we normalize working to live instead of living to work so we can pursue happiness in our way.

Total opposite opinion. I am super snoopy and love to see the people's homes. It helps me remember they are infact human beings with families etc. Being entirely virtual does give any picture of who a person is.
