Maybe get a colleague to proof-read your CV. You might get more bites.

Yes, I'm from the Singapore office and we are hearing rumours of another round of layoffs as well. In the last round, the most impacted team here was the Sales division. I am keeping my resume updated and eyes peeled for any external vacancies as this is the third round of layoffs in Dell in 2 years and I'm DONE being constantly stressed and nervous.

I have moved on. I am not in sales, but I know sales people can help in other orgs of a company. I know of a company planning to expand by 300% this year and is competitor to Dell. Please track other Dell sales people in their new company. I assure you, you will get hired this year or get new leads.

Inside Sales in Tx. - I’m at 54% and it’s doubtful I’ll even hit 80%. Even with the crazy quota, I had line of sight to hit 150% but the big projects were moved by the customer to next half, at best. They are holding off due to the current business climate and I’m hosed. I’ve been preparing to get cut by saving $, learning new skills and applying to external jobs. I’m not the only one on my team missing, probably half of us will. TBH, I no longer care, I can’t make any money like I did and I need to move on anyway. I know that’s easy to say but it’s becoming harder to get buy making less money every year. I’m using all of this as motivation to get off my @ss and focus on career growth, not for Dell to navigate their way through these times. It’s more obvious than ever that we have nothing to differentiate ourselves from the competition and that’s not a recipe for future success.

I'm a Pre Sales person in North America. Sales Numbers, for the most part, are far away from plan. My leadership has had meetings in the last week. Have they been given marching orders for layoffs? Who knows. If you take a look at simple sales numbers AND if the numbers are HALF, overall, of where they need to be, it stands to reason that they'll need to do something. Perhaps, they'll not go for layoffs and ride it out thinking that things will come back and it's easier to keep things going than have to retrain and bring people back. It's year end come January 31st and whether you are in Dublin or some other place around the world, there is nothing an employee can do about what may or may not happen. Hopefully, some folks have gotten wind of things to come and can report it here. Just make plans as you see appropriate for your circumstance.
