Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Cigna trainwreck posts are starting to explode in Slack

There have been several threads popping up in slack this week on how bad the switch from Aetna to Cigna really is along with swipes at Tamla, who left us with this steaming pile of healthcare. Thanks for that "enhanced" benefit Tamla, hope the golden parachute eased you back down gently. Forced RTO and "enhanced" PTO were terds that really stunk, big Cigna will prove to be the massive terd that clogs up the system.

The employee meeting is coming up on 01/25, I'm betting that the Peecuck is going to blow the Cigna concerns off with snark like "Talk to your manager", "I'll pass this off to Asa and get back with you", or "Wow, wasn't that Xmas party something? How about that beer and wine, give ourselves a big hand for handling those adult beverages, whoo!"

Wayne's working furiously on securing the votes needed for his 158% raise.

Comp & the Chief really messed it up.

It’s gonna get better! There is a Chief of Staff running around without a Chief… She’s going to be moved into Talent Curation, don’t asked me, I didn’t create the name… They displaced the former TA VP to nepo friend that role to the Chief’s BFF!

To add on top of this BS - just found out today that the most recent debit cards were sent out in error. The one sent in December also didn’t work so be prepared to potentially pay out of pocket and hopefully get reimbursed.

Is it a sneaky way to purge the employee base of people with medical conditions?

In one of the employee meetings, someone asked about providers who are not in-network. The HR lackey (not TOF) gave a dismissive response about how easy it was to submit a request to have your provider added. Incredibly disingenuous. Yes, filling out an online form is quite simple. It's the backend contract negotiation with the provider that is the hard part and never guaranteed.

And while we sat there being reassured that our provider was currently in-network, no mention that providers were actively renegotiating contracts and some will drop. One of my specialists, in-network in November, dropped on Jan 1. His entire practice, all 30 specialists, dropped. A friend of mine, cancer survivor, was relieved to see all 5 of her specialists in-network during open enrollment. On Jan 1, 4 of the 5 dropped. Years of treatment and relationships just dismissed overnight. Tell me again, why did we switch?

When in USAA for four years, I was very happy with Aetna. I had TriCare Prime as well, but Aetna was my "go to" because it was so awesome. When I transitioned to another (much higher paying) company, they had Cigna and I stayed away from it because it was terrible per my co-workers. Now we have BCBS and everyone is very happy with them. I am surprised (but not shocked) that USAA switched to Cigna.

When will you su-kas learn?? Everything Wayne touches turns to sh¡t. Those words have filled the halls of USAA since he infiltrated the EMG ranks. Name 1 positive change/impact he's done? He hired the HR loser. Wayne serves Wayne and NO ONE ELSE.

The Post is plastered with Cigna nightmares too.

How could anyone have predicted this? Well, maybe if we had a CHRO who was hired for competence, but no. Wayne's USAA picks the most spineless leaders it can find. Because Wayne.

It's high time to bring back Syring. Before it's too late.

I recently left USAA and went to another company with BCBS. I am paying way less in healthcare than before at USAA. My doctor told me his office is really stressed about the switch as they have many USAA patients there and that dealing with the claims is a nightmare with Cigna. Even though pay wise I'm not making much more, I save way more in medical costs then when I was on Aetna. I couldn't imagine how much more with Cigna
