Outsourcing, layoffs, short or long-term overhaul plan? I certainly expect layoffs. From my experience even digital mgmt see IT as the cost and not efficiency multiplier, which guides their decisions. Digitalization often means loss of talent and competence through layoffs and outsourcing, while some important aspects like elements of security fall through the cracks. Overhaul/improvement may easily end up being more costly and less efficient than the system before.
