Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Big Question

I have been reading this posts for 5 years and it’s the same thing over and over. The names maybe different but the same 💩.

My question is why do you stay ? If your capable go find a job where the company at least gives merit pay increases and had equal or better benefits (shouldn’t be hard)!

I left January 2023 and gotten 3 cost of living increases since then, unlimited vacation time without restrictions. Heath insurance costs a bit more and I don’t have to work EVER!

Oh yea I retired and I make almost as much as I did at DXC with social Security, Pensions from other companies I had in my career and haven’t touched my 401K or investments yet!

I have quietly quit. As they have not raised my pay for years I’ve deducted working ours instead, so I now work about 28 a week. At the same time I have started a side hustle that I’m building as a full time job and learning other stuff too. Been here 14 years so would get a good payoff when the WFR happens and hopefully my own business will be ready to give me a fair salary.

I just stay for the laughs. I've never seen a bunch of ludicrous baffoons with such delusions of grandeur in my life. DXC calls them MANAGERS. These "managers" couldn't chit straight if they ate regular.....Most look like they are from the witness protection program.....and the beat goes on......

21 years you must be in the UK as people in US get no payout other than 8 weeks

Mostly enjoyed the team and customers i worked with. Left a year ago, just couldn’t take it anymore. Also many of my favorite friends had left. Within weeks landed a job making 25% more. Worked that for a while, now semi retired. I still do miss the people I worked with and hope they are doing well. If you have great work mates you can put up with a lot of the corp cr-p.

People are afraid of disruption.

I also have 21 years service. If I go I will get a good payout.

I’m not walking out of DXC with nothing. But I have quite quit and I’m learning new skills on the job.
