Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Bonus paid today

I was in the October round of layoffs, and my bonus was paid out today. I was not really expecting it, so I was happy and relieved to see it. Between that and severance, I think Centene actually gave me quite a soft landing. I haven't found another job yet (been interviewing a lot, but no offers yet), but I'm covered for a few more months.

Was your bonus paid out at the same time as your severance - or was it in a separate payment/deposit? I have been unable to access paystub information and the hold time for HR/Payroll are unreal.

“ Bonuses were only paid to staff who were in the “M” pay grade and above. I believe that is manager level. Centene changed the bonus plan over a year ago to make it so only managers were eligible. More cost cutting”

So to get a bonus you have to be past M for example M-Z? I’m currently a C and wondering what is happening since I’m new

What percentage was your bonus? I believe it was supposed to be at 8% this year.

Was M level CCRN II hourly. Got my bonus. I think the job level was part of the reason I was laid off and my hourly rate. Hope this info helps others.

Interesting - I think maybe those that got a bonus were salaried? If not then def favoritism on some level. We have been told repeatedly that no one in our depart that is hourly will get any kind of incentive on any level whatsoever and to be happy we are even getting a paycheck. Glad though that employees that are not on production get to profit off those employees hard work that actually are on production - must be nice.

Temps are potentially to be let go in June. At least in CA

May I ask what dept you worked in to get a bonus? I was part of the October layoff as well and didn’t get a bonus
