Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Will things ever improve?

I'm starting to think that this constant worry and stressing are the new normal, and I'm not happy about it one bit.

Only allow yourself to worry from 8 to 10 am on Thursdays and only on off cycle pay weeks. The rest of the time, you're good!! ha ha

Agreed. I start every work day day now wondering if my number is going to be called.

The feeling is present for myself and coworkers as well. The previous week felt very chaotic and we’re reaching our breaking point. Employees are struggling to understand the new complicated processes being thrown at us everyday (and during the busiest time of year no less!) and leadership can’t even answer your questions as they don’t understand what’s going on either. Individuals who were hired recently are quitting or being fired without explanation. I’ve been here for over 2 1/2 years and I’ve never seen morale as low as it is now. To say myself and others are fed up would be an understatement.

I was thinking calm before the storm. But how often do we worry for nothing? Nothing we can do right now but wait and see what happens. We don't know what is going on behind the scenes with leadership, I have a feeling its chaos.

Change is the only constant in life.

This worrisome period will give way to a more peaceful period which will be followed by another worrisome period.

I know many feel the same. Many overworked and tired of the constant stress. Morale is low
