Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

What's the ground level situation in the UK right now?

Left a while ago now, but morbidly curious to know what is going on at the coalface

I still keep in touch with a few old colleagues and the general wording I get is on-call has been cut back to bare minimum, they tried to pawn off out of hours work to the 24x7 teams but ran into pushback from the client when they realised some the FTE they were paying for was being shared with other accounts

"On the ground, DXC is completely broken, there is a complete breakdown between leadership and staff, worse than just zero trust, actual active distrust of DXC leadership by staff."

Does that distrust extend to run support & their management, eg the team leads, or is that more between run as a whole and the account leadership & executives?

Funnily enough I still speak with people from BAE and they said a lot of the "usual faces" they used to deal with from DXC management have disappeared out of view

I do what I think is right. I don't attend calls that waste my time. I work the hours I want. While others are going off sick with stress I deliver way more than anyone else on the team. Its still not good enough to justify any pay rise 'cos our id--t management can't seem to make it profitable to deliver legacy IT.

At the ground level, the grass is green and the temperature is 20 degrees. The ground is good and bouncy - nice for a football game or a game of cricket.

Mate, You coming out to the pub this weekend?
