Can't confirm but last quarter they announced the layoffs the day after the quarterly results where they announced missing estimates. If we miss this time, the day after would be Feb 7th.

Let’s see how 1st quarter earnings go. I think like last time layoffs will coincide with weak earnings

That is a sign of a management team with an appropriate plan

Company X is likely Brightspeed

Does Brightspeed know what they are doing? Seems unlikely.

IBM has always had a lock on the legacy and conversions work.

We knew back when they converted the Q systems and ops support groups into IBM employees that they were never going to have full control ever again, under any name.

Work a deal to re-badge folks to IBM? Or sell company to IBM?

They announced the previous round at end of October, so end of Jan looks likely. They are trying to work a deal but the deal is likely going to flop, IBM wins and Lumen employees lose?

Who is company X? Please tell us more? Typically company X will want to announce those numbers as synergies...

They didn't submit WARN notices for the last one, because is a layout percentage per facility and they are mostly virtual anyways.

Can't confirm this but plenty of crazy things going on that could make that possible.

If they can't get company x to pay for certain workers, then those workers seem like they would be easy enough to let go.
