Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Is moving to Shared Services a segue into getting laid off?

Has anyone been told they were moving to Shared Services, and then was laid off, before that actually happened? Or, was laid off a few weeks after moving to SS?

I also tried to bring up the issue of production being hampered by the constant back and forth between states several months ago, No One on my team spoke up! I don’t know if they just didn’t understand what was taking place or were afraid of retaliation. So many doormats, it’s just sad.

Oh please, do not tell people how to complete the survey. What’s wrong with people speaking their mind? That is part of the problem with Centene, they use scare tactics and people telling us to not “blast” the company is exactly that!

Shared Services was created by Dave Thomas, Drew Asher & Ken Fasola to fire/lay-off staff! Shared Services was never about "efficiencies" Kim Henricksen is just the functionary of these slimy guys; shes knows nothing about managed care or really anything!! Of course everyone who is restructured to Shared Services will not get fired but many will get fired.

As well as Shared Services, or Centralization is not in alignment with many of Centene's Medicaid contracts that require management to be local in the state! This situation has a high potential for being a whistleblower action! Millions in reward for the first to successfully come forward!!

If you use some tact and express concerns and barriers it most likely won't get you targeted.

If you put the them on "blast", how you word things could potentially impact a "target"

Calm concerned team members that want to get the work done and explain barriers (and even better provide possible solutions) are listened to more often than scared angry people that are just venting.

Nothing wrong with venting, there is just a time and a place.

Please don’t use the survey to blast the company, I promise you based on experience you will be a target, retaliation is real at Centene!!!!! Unless you want to be laid off. Then puck off on everyone from the coworkers you know is the favorite and does minimal with absolutely no consequences, to the highest Princess sitting on her million dollar throne.

Per my PL, there is an 11 question survey going out next week. We had a long discussion about how unrealistic it is to hit cph in a state we've never worked and PL said to not hold back about my thoughts about this and no kca or pay for performance bonus. I doubt it'll do anything at the director or above level because it's evident they don't give a sh-t about us, but if enough people sound off maybe they'll finally get the message through their thick skulls that we are frustrated and getting burnt out.

Yes I believe so as it is very convenient to tie it to performance. But they sure aren't going to let it be leaked like last round. So prepare to be blindsided again and I would wager that it won't all be a layoff all together but now will do it under the guise of termination due to the unrealistic production expectations they have placed on everyone after expecting them to keep up by doing all the work of the laid off employees and this will be so they can try to avoid severance and possibly deter unemployment.
