Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Power Trip

It has become comical as of late, where young kids suddenly get a teamlead position, and suddenly they somehow have power? They need to check their egos at the door. They for some reason think they can talk down to senior workers, who have basically been doing the job longer then they have been alive. Management pumps their brain with things like how valued they are. They are pawns in the game, and are no more important then anyone else. Senior people who literally work hard everyday single day, see this laughable behavior. Sams is literally losing great workers, who are fed up. They aren't taking direction from individuals who has zero work ethic. Sams is turning to youth, instead of experience. This year I hope to leave this my club and never look back. If you want kids running the show, who constantly ate own their phones, pace up and down aisles pretending to be busy, or who take extended long bathroom breaks while updating their Facebook. I say good luck. Old timers and experience clearly mean nothing anymore, and you certainly aren't paying for our seniority, or dedication and experience. I say so long. 2024 is my change year. See you in the rear view mirror.

You fail to realize (and I’m not criticizing you) that these young leads are cheaper to pay and are more than likely being told to push senior associates to their limits based off of their pay (senior associates pay). The longer you’ve been there, the more money you make, the harder you will get pushed to either give in and quit or walkout so they can replace you with a cheaper new hire.

It's not just the young kids. Anymore, any team lead is like this. It all rolls downhill. They expect associates to respect them, yet show no work effort on their part. The company needs a complete realignment.
