It is unfortunate for any business that may have paid for LN and JB’s consulting advice - they got to claim they led a successful business when really they just happened to be a part of a business that for a long time was too good of a business model to fail (towers).
Until they found a way to make it fail…
LN and JB had a totally different consulting firm that is now not showing up. If I remember right it was to help consult executives. I wonder if she just absorbed him into Rio and shut down the other one. Also, I wasn’t aware the J in JB doesn’t stand for the name we know JB by. His real name is the same as the Godfather of Soul.
If class action is not the best direction, certainly somebody knows a good private investigator to dig into this under contingency. Remember we are dealing with an EMT that can’t run an organization efficiently, how can one expect for them to know how to sweep dirt under the carpet.
At this point I would take an out of court settlement
I found the email too when I Googled Rio Advisors. I would be willing to bet behind the scenes there is a contract that lists Rio Advisors in his deal to stay on as a consultant. They are all trying to grab as much cash from Crown as they can before they are let go. The entire EMT and board are deplorable.
How the he-l is that not a conflict of interest?
Rio Advisors webpage is offline. It is LN’s consulting firm. It has been offline since JB said he was “retiring”. I bet LN and her firm are somehow intertwined with JB being a consultant for Crown. LN is probably making $$$ through this.

I was told we underperformed this year and our bonuses were going to not be what we have come to expect. Worked harder than any other year, BUT…we have money to keep JB as an advisor(no employee would agree to this) and hire a CIO. Thanks for looking out for the little guy again CC. If you aren’t looking elsewhere, start.
This should not surprise anybody. Jay didn’t make all those poor decisions over the years by himself. Everything that Jay did was supported by the board. They are all buddies and they are all bad at their jobs. What’s one more bad decision gonna hurt?

It's kind of sad that JB's "advising" or decisions over the last several years got Crown in the position it is in today. Wouldn't it be best to just distance the company from him at this point?
