Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Rich$ Payouts!! WOW$

Looks to me like the company is being very generous with severance. Take a look at the payout/severance for JCS. XRX will pay JCS over $1.7m just for leaving the company. Wow.

At first glance, such a sizable payment does not feel equitable to me....but when i stop and think, it is probably money well spent.

The C Level execs signed an agreement as part of their job offer that if they ever got let go outside of personal performance reasons, they would receive x-x amount of money. That's the only way they could get those C Level execs to join an unstable company. Smart of them but it's really unfair to others.

Interestingly, there is nothing on TK - no 8K filing. Could she have walked out with nothing?

Wow, that is insane amounts of money. If I did not see it on the SEC site I would not have believed it was true. Why do these fat cats - with minimal tenure - that is money that we don't get in raises - and is not invested in improving our business. These people at the top are BAD. I am sure that TK will get even more than JCS. Really makes me discouraged how at the top they are just looking out for themselves - not our business, our customers, and not us employees.

JCS = $1.7M severance...seems high. Wonder what TK was given and what they paid the CO's in signing bonuses. Her last job before Xerox was with the Federal government and paid $167K. Before that, she was at IBM and there was a dustup in he organization, I believe, employee let go and filed an age discrimination lawsuit. It probably wasn't true but the court settlement to the worker was $3.7M.

Ahem, severance not really a problem in Canada (Toronto). People love working there so much that productivity, sales, profit numbers are through the roof… or so I assume based on the award below. Pay an employee to refer a friend as candidate? Candidate should be paying the friend… or maybe friend paying the hiring manager. Or maybe candidate and friend paying the hiring manager. Maybe talk about 3 way split over some rotisserie chicken n fries. Don’t forget the dipping sauce.
