Post ID: @1yac+1qB7NF62 The OP is also talking about the fact that you will Not have access to the Citi websites for tax documents, performance reviews, pay stubs, retirement plan info, etc.. It's better to get these items and the others posted by the OP Pre-Layoff since you will Not be able to get them as easily Post-Layoff. Post-Layoff, You will need to phone and email dozens of HR people and we know Citi's HR Department is as responsive or as good as a brick wall. In other words, you might as well email or phone a brick wall.

You realize with WARN you’ll be on the payroll with benefits for 60 or 90 days (depending on the state) after you last in office date. You won’t have access but you’ll have a paycheck and medical /dental/ vision like normal life for those months.

I agree, HR doesn't even care during onboarding process properly, how can they take care of layoff process given a short duration of time. Don't always wait for spoon feed. In case of critical times, your homework always helps.

Post ID: @cet+1qB7NF62 You said it yourself. You were laid off from a better bank or better employer. But most employers do Not care after they throw you out like Trash. You're on your own to find, get info and documents.

I got laid off once years ago and your post is false. Although i got layed off from a better bank. I was called into a room, told the news, given a piece of paper with websites and helpful links as well as paperwork with my severance details.

No. Citi and most employers do NOT give you the info posted by the OP when they fire or Lay you off. It's your responsibility to get the documents and info, and find out who to contact about getting the docs and info. After the company throws you out like Trash, the company does Not give a Flying Fvck about you.

Yeah but this whole post is useless. Doesn't Citi provide you with paperwork and info when you leave? This posts talks to us like we are children and have no brain.

Friends, lets do something useful for ourselves and our fellow friends who might leave.
Avoid scamming down with useless comments and spend some useful time if you can contribute for betterment of our/their lives

Few more...

  1. Get copies of your appreciation emails inside Citi. Both from your management and outside teams
  2. Get gratitude page screenshots if you have any
  3. Submit a new gratitude for your colleague or friend inside Citi . atleast let them get some money
  4. Take any personal documents inside your VDI. keep it clean
  5. Use your dental - atleast do a dental cleaning. it will help for your next interview.
  6. Check how you can access benefits website outside without SSO id.
  7. Take a snapshot (Photograph) in Office premises so it will be your rememberence.
  8. Get a snapshot of Citi's investor relations sheets. When asked about "Layoff" you can say Citi is doing bad and its not your fault / performance . Everyone knows but forgets it over time.

To the OP. Thank you for your Helpful post. Most people are Not aware of at least some if not all of the items they must do in your post, Post-Layoff. It's better to be proactive and do these things Pre-Layoff.
