I would never choose a Medicare Advantage plan over traditional Medicare. These companies only care about money & how to get more of it. They only come up with ideas/interventions to get more money from the government, they do not care about their customers or employees. I can’t believe there aren’t more restrictions on them.

Agree! Company has a long history reputation of incompetence.

Anyone that has abilities skills talents, experience and competence are a threat to those without, and are the targets for the RIF layoffs.

As someone who deals in operations, I see this firsthand. It’s pretty clear what they are doing at this point. They are shifting as much work as they can right now offshore while slowly dwindling down the onshore support. Eventually they will be running AI along with offshore staffing with as minimal onshore staffing they can get away with. This new model will benefit the top executives along with shareholders.

This truly a corporate caste system. It benefits only the top executive leadership and their stock. A company for all humanity. its a farce..giving out food to a small amount of people for publicity and photo -ops and delivering poor insurance coverage with high rates and increased denials. It is disgraceful. All Health Insurance Companies should be moved to non - profits ..where profits are put back into the company instead of lining the investors and the executives pockets.

I completely agree. There is so much mass confusion & incompetence. I’ve never worked for a company in my life that has been this unorganized. It’s awful. I have no idea how they are still operating. It’s only getting worse. It’s no wonder the star rating dropped. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone I know.

I'll leave it to upper management to figure that out, if it's not too late. This company has serious problems, from people on the outside using the insurance, and as an employee within the company.
Hold on everyone and buckle up it's going to be a bumpy road ahead.

@thp+1qB0Ngzh oh my gosh yes. Same here. I played the game better than them. After about the fifth manager ,( I was only trying to promote to the next level of my job class) each manager says ok we'll draw up a plan. Yada yada after friggin yada. After the fifth manager I applied out ( still with the company ) got a great offer, told my manager of about a month sorry, but I'm outta here. She had me promoted the same day. This was way back. We go through so many so fast the breakdown is scary.

Agreed. There is no reward for competence, only for toadying up to the next level up, even if it means carrying out work in an inefficient way or initiatives that objectively make no sense. I'm just puzzled by how this isn't more obvious from outside the company.

Can't argue with that. Also agree that the reason there's so much incompetence is because they get rid of people who are smart and ask questions.

I got RIFd back in September (last date 10/20) after nearly 22 years with the company. In that time, I worked under at least 10 different managers and went through countless reorgs.

I have never been written up, always performed well despite constant upheaval. My last 3 managers didn't even actually understand my job. The only reason I was let go is because I'm old and made too much money. Better for the bottom line to hire 2 young people whose combined salary will be less than mine. Elevance (Anthem) definitely does not reward loyalty or intelligence.

Elevance has and has a lot of competent employees. The competent employees get laid off because they question the incompetent management. I’ve been told to keep my mouth shut and do what I’m told even when it doesn’t make sense.

Can you expound a bit more? What are your observations that make you conclude that? I do agree but it seems like a lot of competent competent people are getting laid off or downgraded.
