Heard a couple of people in my U.K. business receive counter offers after having a job offer. Must be mad to stay

Tip is to ignore the desperate counter offers at this failing company and stick with the new job offer from a company that values their employees better and invest in them, unfortunately DXC is not a caring company at all and it's failing badly
My area has lost loads of very experienced staff 20 years plus to the banks ..DXC did nothing to retain them just let them go , no replacement, little handover..Most areas now have one person on 24/7 standby as well as some areas with no support!!
We will counteroffer with reward points. No other IT company offer it.
It's not unheard of, usually it's far too little, far too late.
