"You get laid off…. Nestor sells and get millions."
Nestor doesn't care about you. He would have sold and got his millions regardless of your employment status.
Just saying.
So my use of a VPN is technically changing/hiding my IP address. How do they know/enforce?
Your post, claiming that "discussing politics isn't allowed here at all, it's listed in the rules somewhere at the page bottom" is demonstrably false. You can't just make stuff up, then attempt to point to a vague citation, which ironically, disproves your concocted position.
Also, there is a huge difference between discussing politics, and presenting an opinion or position from a conservative, liberal, ignorant, independent, etc. viewpoint. It is also not difficult to see a pattern develop, if only specific viewpoints are being silenced (removed/moderated) even if those comments comply with the rules.
Also, one would be naive to believe that companies and businesses aren't run with elements of politics in mind. "Office politics" comes to mind. Also, some companies advance directives and initiatives which are sometimes, and unquestionably aligned with one political ideology or another.
To be clear, I am not saying the admin/mods at this site lean one way or the other; nor am I saying they moderate excessively based on personal political ideology or preference, with little regard to the spirit of the rules. I agree when they take down posts that are clearly inflammatory and do not follow the guidelines, but if they are taking down posts simply because the message portrays a viewpoint contrary to their own, that is where some credibility (and audience) could be lost.

Mods here don't cherrypick, all political posts get deleted as discussing politics isn't allowed here at all, it's listed in the rules somewhere at the page bottom. Liberal, conservative, whatever - it gets nuked. The way I see, it's probably necessary to prevent trolling and keep the chatter from falling off the beaten path about work and layoffs.
This site screens posts. Thelayoff.https://www.thelayoff.com/ is apparently very liberal.
They HATE to see a girlboss winning.
