There are also 5 year shares, super secret shares for SVPs and even those higher.

And sometimes if you get lucky, you can invest in their super secret funds.

In general, chairman's shares are <= grade 6, Incentive shares grade 7-8, and performance shares grade 8+. Payouts are better as you progress up the share chain. You can even hold multiple share types at the same time.

P-shares are better. They vest over three years, but the third that has already vested (starting year two) receive prior vests + current vest, so by third year, you're counting the cash.
