Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Despite Houston Stereotypes

I just want to say (from Houston) a lot of us are extremely happy for everyone right now even if y’all doubt it. I personally want to say I’m so excited so many talented people will remain here if they choose to stay. I’m very happy my teammates that are not located in Houston can still work here.

@bwm+1q2De8D3, do you really think by “just moving forward together the EMT and their stupid whims shouldn’t/won’t affect what we know makes the company successful?” The employees don’t function in a vacuum. We are not autonomous. We operate and are under the control of the EMT and board. To think otherwise is not realistic. While I appreciate your optimism, there is reality. No one is safe. We are ALL expendable and can be replaced as seen with J. Brown. Bottom line, every employee is in essence a “contractor” serving the company at the whim/discretion of the company and another contractor(s) above them in the corporate hierarchy, whether the person above them achieved that role on their own valid merits or was given it by nepotism (e.g. family or friends). This is doggy dog world. No one other than you has your best interest at hand. Please take time to carefully think through what I have shared.

While I appreciate your sentiments, I don't think the Purple Palace has yet exhausted its bag of dirty tricks. Way too many of the good people in Houston were let go in August, and I think that fact is not mentioned enough.

Thank you. It’s been a contentious couple of months. Let’s all just move forward together. The EMT and their stupid whims shouldn’t affect what we know makes the company successful. Us.
