Since the next mentioned layoff date is in February

Does that mean we are safe until then? Is that a certainty?

If your performance is mediocre but you are in the RR/Austin area to where you are required to come into the office "to be seen", the you are safe. If you moved after being remote for 5 years and are now full time remote (60+ miles away from Dell campus), regardless if your performance is in the 90%+ range, you will be let go if you do not come into the office. Remote is the target.
