Thread regarding Nokia Corp. layoffs

New Brunswick - article link below

Long commute
Congestion
Train noise
Pollution
Parking problem
Crime (not safe)
Traffic
And if the hybrid policy changes from 2 days in the office to 4 or 5 days in the office, this would be a problem. Besides, with the low wage salary Nokia pays, moving near Rutgers will still not attract PhD graduates. PhD graduates want to be paid above $210K these days and yes, even those with visa. But first thing is first. Will T-mobile still be a customer of Nokia in the near future for the RAN and RU products? Then we can think about New Brunswick.

Thank god I got out 5 years ago. These id--ts are going to lose all their business., while grinding the employees down. They do not value their employees and just bang on about the US being a "HIGH-COST REGION". Of course, they are a high-profit region as opposed to China which has plenty of subscribers but very little profit.

In a few years or maybe even a few months (at this rate) , Nokia will get a new CEO who will stop all the ridiculous spending. Read what analysts and shareholders are saying about Nokia's future.

By the time the construction of the building is finished and all the lab equipment moved into the Helix building (I would assume it would be in 4 to 5 years since they are just getting ready to pour concrete for the first Helix building now in Dec 2023), a third of the 1100 (or so) people in Murray Hill will have retired, a third will be laid-off, and a third still left. And if the revenues continue to decline for the next three years as stated already by Nokia executives, then there won't be much hiring which would leave about 400 people to occupy the building. The question is, will Nokia pour millions into a new building even after the tax benefits from the NJ government or will it settle for a few floors of the building or will Nokia divide up as many shareholders are talking about and sell off the different business groups? Lots of different rumors going on and some of them actually turn out to be true and a big news story.

Want to know the time. You don't need to look at your watch. It's only been 10 minutes since you heard the last train ho-n.
To the customer: Everyone on the call, hold on, we need to let the train pass so we can hear you again. And then 10 minutes later. What did you say, couldn't hear you, it was the train again. And then 10 minutes later. Can you repeat that again, we couldn't hear you?
Who the heck picked New Brunswick location next to the train stations! We are losing customers by the boat load. They can't understand our English! LOL!

I'll be sitting in traffic from 8 AM to 10 AM and 4 PM to 7 PM. I'll be extremely productive from 10AM to 12 Noon and 1PM to 4PM. Oh wait, I forgot, we are an International Company that means those in Finland, France, and Germany leave at 4PM their time, that means 10AM New Brunswick time. We are going to get a lot of work done for sure.
