Serious question. I do not know of one person working for this company at any level that actually has serious respect for this man. In fact most employees I know see him as a complete laughing stock and clown.

Wilson gets a lot of flack on here and it’s warranted. But why does the board get so little criticism? They’re also very guilty of watching over a floundering mess of a once great corporation.
Tom Wilson is a Chicago sc-m politician. What do you expect??

Wondering for a minute why you left Progressive for Allstate?
It does not reflect poorly on the board to the shareholders. The interest of the shareholders is to increase their value - a higher stock price. On that account, the board and executives are doing great.
Doesn't make unhappy employees feel any better, but that is the reality that unhappy employees must face.
After working at Progressive under a series of highly impactful senior leaders, I can support the fact Wilson is a clown. Wilson is reactive and clueless in a day and age when the insurance industry is rewarding forward thinking and creativity.
What surprises me the most is how he remains employed while simultaneously being squashed by the competition. This notion reflects poorly on the board as well!
Not the first time I've been asked this question.
Was fast-tracked by the non-insurance Sears leaders, and we see how that worked for them and for us. Masterful financial engineering over his career, but one that missed so many opportunities to reposition Allstate for longer term P&C success. Instead, we've ceded significant share to GEICO and Progressive by missing the potential in Direct and IA channels. Held onto poor Life and Annuity businesses that prevented other strategic investments. Took moonshots into other areas because he couldn't compete in Auto, packaging it as an extension into other Protection areas. Basically low premium, low margin products that don't move the needle. What could've been....
I remember when he said "the blacks and the browns" referring to certain groups of employees.
The man is a total sc-mbag and waste of oxygen.
Total pr--k!
Band F here and I see nothing of benefit or worth that he or any of the leaders in the top floor bring.
G leader here. Don’t see him as clown but do see him as deeply flawed leader that can’t attract talent, can’t admit mistakes, can’t delegate and can’t shut up and realize he is not the smartest in the room. His time has expired.
Mario loves him
