Get ready for another big round of layoffs for two weeks straight.

Survived another week at Gainwell Technologies. It’s become a game to me.
Put another checkmark up on the big board for me. I’m winning.
112 checks for me to FU-K YOU Gainwell!!!
It sure makes for a toxic environment for employees. No one should have to worry about layoffs daily for months on end and year after year. Any company that puts employees in that situation is not a good place to work.
I’m not sure how anyone would know at what % the layoffs are at so far.
Just basing off of what I have heard and seen it would seem that there is a long way to go yet. I’m hearing it will continue well into next year because they don’t have things in order yet. They haven’t hit the goals for layoffs in the past few months so they are behind and that draws it out even longer.
Has GWT reached their 45% WFR as of yet? If not, how much more to go? It is quite painful to just be taking it day by day waiting to get the axe or not.
If you hired Gainwell you would end up with something you didn’t ask for or nothing at all. And then they would demand payment.
Would you trust Gainwell to do any work for you?
I sure as he-l wouldn’t. Forcing the state to comply because of a contract is bad business. Gainwell isn’t delivering. Forcing them to comply because of the contract and not delivering is exactly the unethical practices that Gainwell does that got them in this situation. Get off of the bandwagon. Be part of the solution and not the brainwashed way that Gainwell leadership operates.
Announced yesterday, a big contract for a southern state requested a pause until 2025. He-l NO! You signed a contract you honor the contract. It goes both ways people. Over a 100 GW people on the call. Not cool.
Well the post below says they were laid off today. I would take that to mean there are more happening today.
Will there still be more layoffs today, or are we done for this week?
Well it finally happened. I was just laid off.
This company is losing business fast. So many corrective action plans that Gainwell hasn’t met. Lost accounts. Poor customer service. It’s absolutely horrible. Why don’t these clients realize that Gainwell is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. They take advantage of any account they can. I have seen them agree to so many things that they have no intention of delivering just to get the contract. Then they can fumble around for months and not deliver. Just to get the money. It doesn’t matter if it means layoffs. Then the account is lost and the cycle repeats. It’s so unethical.
Gainwell is an unethical company. They are dishonest and cannot be trusted.
I heard about multiple layoffs today. Some I knew and some I did not. I don’t know an exact amount but I would estimate it to be in the hundreds.
Every time this happens I think we are through it and we don’t have to worry about layoffs anymore. But it has become apparent that layoffs are the norm at Gainwell Technologies.
Gainwell is a cesspool. Staying working there does not compute.
Why?
A paycheck is the only reason. And the toxicity that has to be endured to get it is definitely not worth it.
Get as far away from Gainwell as possible. It’s just a matter of when they get rid of all of us. If they can find someone cheaper than you they will fire you in a heartbeat. You are of zero value to them. You are nothing but cannon fodder. They dont care if you do a good job or not. Veritas and the leaders only care about money. And you cost too much. All of you. Cutting heads and offshoring are just one tactic of many to get rid of you. You will be replaced by cheaper labor.
For gods sake just leave and don’t give them the satisfaction of firing you.
How do any of you go to work each day and actually want to do a good job? The way leadership treats us makes this extremely challenging.
I know it has become time to leave. I need to work in a less toxic environment.
As someone who lost team members, it can seem like your manager was cold, but the managers are extremely limited on what they can and can't say to impacted employees. There is often a script that has to be closely followed in order to be compliant and not say anything that can come back to bite the manager or company.
I was just let go. I was told it is a company wide workforce reduction and that it had nothing to do with my performance.
But it was so cold. Manager didn’t even care. Basically it was “sorry man. See you later.”
This place is a mess. The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. Double work. Triple work. So many mistakes. Such poor customer service.
They are going to lose every account they have if they don’t change their ways.
Take my experience as a warning to all you that are still there.
It reeks of desperation.
This is a sinking ship. Without some drastic changes it will slowly sink like the titanic.
I suggest getting out voluntarily.
Offshoring your workers but keeping the same broken methods and products is a recipe for failure.
I left GWT voluntarily last March. At that time, we were losing people and also on a hiring freeze. I knew there was an issue when Saleh didn't seem to know that we were under a hiring freeze, he never bothered to mention it in his town hall meeting. The town hall meeting was just bizarre, nothing like I've ever experienced when a company is going through what we went through last March.
WOW some anger toward the company.
I have been here a very long time. I have to admit that the company seems to be at its lowest point that I have ever seen. It feels like a really toxic and bad place to be right now. And I don’t see that changing unless they are sold or go bankrupt.
I shut out all of the negativity for a while. But it can’t be ignored any longer. I personally have chosen to leave. Each person needs to make that decision on their own. But I don’t think this ship gets turned around before it’s too late.
It’s hard to say out loud that the company you work for is a narcissist.
But it is.
This company makes me so angry. No communication about layoffs EVER. That is ridiculous. It shows that they have zero value for the employees. ZERO! Every leader at GW is worthless. They don’t care about any of us.
I don’t know why anyone would stay at this company. It doesn’t matter how long you have been here. It isn’t worth staying. We are going to hear a bunch of lies from the CEO in the town hall. A bunch of cr-p about how we are growing and how we are doing so good and how we are helping people. Well why don’t the leaders here help their own employees?
This seems more widespread than just a few leftover from October. Those people wouldn’t still be on PTO on November 15th.
Well Gainwell is definitely predictable. Even with all the leadership changes they do the same things. Every year at the end of the year layoffs ramp way up. Always right around the holidays. It has happened for the last two years and it appears it is happening again. They will lay off a bunch of experienced people. Then when the new year starts and accounts go to he-l they hire a bunch of inexperienced people to attempt to deal with it. And they sink even lower and lose more business.
It’s a predictable cycle that this company seems to take over and over.
How is it that this company doesn’t have poor ratings all over the internet?
This is definitely the worst company I have ever worked for.
We just lost three people in my area.
I have no idea how we are going to function without three people.
This company really doesn’t think before it does things like this.
I can confirm. I was laid off this morning.
I got the axe this morning.
No real explanation given for why I was chosen. But my manager did say that this is part of a larger WFR that will probably last until around April to get the company in a better position. She stopped there. Didn’t say it was a better position for a sale or anything.
In a way it’s a relief. I don’t have to worry about layoffs on a daily basis any longer.
Take everything I have heard with a grain of salt but rumbling around the virtual water cooler is that the majority of the layoff's did happen on 10/23 as noted in other posts. The folks being impacted now were already decided on as part of that 10/23 layoff but were delayed in notifying because they were out of office or on leave etc. I have updated my resume anyways but just thought I would share what I heard but of course it could all be false and the company shuts down tomorrow you never know.
“Not too brutal today” = “good company” is a stretch.
Kind of interesting that there are a few that troll these threads just to try and convince everyone that GWT is a good company. Or that this company imploding isn’t really happening.
Right @2cgr+1pyW9KhC
Well I guess it must not have been too brutal today, given the relatively few replies to this post.
Guess I'll hold off on getting a Turkey.
Are the layoffs also happening for employees supporting Medicaid accounts?
Happy holidays from GWT!
I dont want to reveal who I am. There are only 5 people remaining in my department. It would be too easy to identify me if I tell you my department.
I’m just telling you that it struck close to home this morning. I feel horrible for those that got let go. The logic behind it made no sense at all. Some new people were kept. Others that had been here a really long time got let go. An extreme amount of knowledge and experience was lost.
What is your department?
We lost 7 people in my department this morning.
Small department. That is over 50% of my department. We are told they won’t be replaced and that the rest of us will have to pick up all of their work.
It’s top secret until right before it happens.
Knowing one day in advance isn’t actually an advantage.
Good luck to everyone.
And how could you know this if it's supposed to be so Top Secret?
Do you middle managers out there get notice of this on the weekend (I was WFR’d 2 weeks ago and manager created the Monday morning meeting on Sunday night).
