Thread regarding Lumen Technologies layoffs

Lumen Wins $110MM Ceiling Price Defense Contract(5 Years)

Thank you fellow Lumenites. These TYPES of WINS must continue at all levels of our U.S. Govt. and Military Complexes persistently, consistently, frequently and without fail when thinking about the EIS having replaced Networx contract alone.

There is no more important communications network for ensuring the strength, speed stability and security of the U.S.A.'s DATA except for The Lumen Network.

Remember Jim Crowe, "It might as well be us," but it should really be said, "It must be us."

Carry on, and let's go, Kate!

We'll have to see if this shows up as new revenue in Q4's income statement.

In the meantime, they are just renewals from existing and a lifeline headline in times of distress.

The General Services Administration's 15-year, $50 billion Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) contract that replaces Networx, will serve as the government’s primary vehicle for telecommunications related services, including high-speed Internet, government hosting services, security encryption protocols, and many more products and services.

Eating popcorn, I wonder how many pages the remedies section is and the potential liabilities.

Just ask Kate, her biggest claim to fame while at Microsoft was a huge government DOD contract she landed just a month or two before she departed. Then it was taken away the next month, so they never really saw any of the billions.

TBH with what I have seen the company had to go through to deal with the government, its regulations, reporting and fines ... it's not work the effort ... and often request you lock up resources just for them, which isn't very cost effective since their needs tend to be one off and never useful to anybody else.

These deals help the top line, but margins are razor thin. Any issues like turnup delays, credits etc and it’s underwater.

I remember Networkx project was going to be our salvation.

We spent a lot getting ready for it, not sure how many millions.

I'm not sure it every really paid off as big as expected.

That work is now part of legacy world.

The reality of pub sec contracts are it takes years for the $$$ to come in.

Great we have a contract, now they have to order and turn it up.
