Had my 1:1 and my manager mentioned that I should plan to take the day off and shouldn't come in on Monday 11/13 but he wouldn't explain the reasoning behind it. Does this mean I'm on the "List"?
Anyone else have this happen before?

Moms meatloaf is probably ready, get after it before its get cold. Ahh, maybe she brings it to the basement for you with some gravy. That would be a nice touch tbh

Funny the Longmont Core Team Leader doesn’t actually work in Longmont. Seems a little odd.

So far, nothing happened.
Both Seagate and WD will do a layoff within a week of each other. That's how the duopoly works. They don't need to be exceptional, they need to just be better than each other - which also means when one company does a layoff, it provides explicit permission for the other to do likewise. It will get even worse as WDC transitions to HDD-only. The people that pay for this are customers and employees. Customers because they're the ones who want storage to be a low margin business so they're getting what they deserve, and employees because they have to suffer the fools that run these low margin companies. I'll come back and bump this thread after the two announcements to prove I'm right.

My boss is the Longmont core team lead and he/she/we said that most of the posts are total BS just trying to get people worried.
