Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Comments being removed

Someone must’ve triggered someone at Cigna as they are starting to remove some comments.

Private website with hundreds of forums, not connected to Cigna. Site mods are the ones deleting posts that violate site rules (listed in the footer), and you can also check out what’s said about deletions on this hashtag https://www.thelayoff.com/h/censor.

It basically comes down to this:

  • don’t use names or any personal info (c-level is ok, they are public figures)
  • don’t discuss politics, race, religion
  • do not threaten others, do not talk about violence or destruction

Some of the things removed do not fall under the unwelcome comment section in the rules and regulations of layoff.com. Cigna is leaving a very messy trail and I would not be surprised if they contacted the site in order to clean some things up. Don’t be so naive. I’ll gladly wear my tin foil hat.

I have to agree, this isn't a cigna owned site so they don't have the ability to do that. My thoughts are with people still there and hope you aren't affected. I was let go a couple months ago and the job market is horrible!!!! Good luck.

I'm guessing the removed content may have violated TheLayoff content rules, under "Unwelcome content" (link below). It's probably best just in general to keep to the topic of layoffs on this site so that the post won't be removed, and we can all focus on the problem at hand. Good luck this Thursday, everyone... :(

Tin foil hat or no, comments are disappearing on here. Gearing up for 11/9 it seems.

I don’t think noticing comments being removed means you wear a tin foil hat. That’s quite a stretch.

There were a lot more comments to a previous post on Morals and they have since been removed.

This isn't a Cigna owned site so I'm not sure how "they" are removing comments. I don't even see how you can remove comments. Emotions are high. It's going to be OK. Put the tin foil hat down and grab a cup of coffee.
