Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

I hate the companies logic that working remotely means you have less expenses so you can get paid less and have more time to do work.
I’ve worked both in office and fully remote and hybrid, and let me just say that working remotely actually cost around the same and if not even more, then going in the office. I’m always home- requiring more groceries, although transportation isn’t a huge expense anymore, food has. Light has increased as well. I was literally told during my hiring “well you work from home, so you don’t need to ask for such a high wage since ur expenses won’t be as much.” I was desperate for a job but I highly regret agreeing. HR is NO help. My supervisor is NO help. The People leaders/team leads whatever they are called NO help. In fact they get angry when u even reach out to them. I have no words anymore, this place is toxic, constant downgrading and gaslighting. If you have a conscious I recommits work somewhere where at least you are appreciated. This place is NOT it. Supervisors and TLs will literally talk to you like a child when asking questions about soemthing you were not trained in!
