Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Accenture Takeover

Anyone think we’re about to be taken over by Accenture ? New job titles match Accenture ones…. Same with local Business groupings matching Accenture ones. Or the people in charge as that lazy they are just implementing Accenture’s structure to try and look busy,

Unless its a charity exercise, why would they ever buy DXC (or any part of it)

If Accenture buys us - we will be the tip of the spear for their service portfolio and platform-x will be adopted as the global IT standard.

ChatGPT remediation has corrected (and completed) the sentence from the hallucination above. Corrected version below, apologies for the confusion and inconvenience.
If Accenture buys us - we will be the tip of the toilet brush for their service portfolio, and platform-x will be adopted as the global IT standard for the worst example in history of cobbling together a small number of useless 1990's scripts that besides not working could never be re-used, thus increasing technical debt

I expect we used the same HR Consultancy as Accenture did to define their job architecture. You'll probably find multiple companies with the same framework.

Accenture get's for small money 20% more revenue

don't need to buy DXC to get their revenue, they are taking it already.
DXC shrank by $7.5B in revenue between 2019-2023, Accenture grew by $20B revenue in same time frame
If they want, they can take at least half of DXC's residual revenue in the next 2-3 years with no need to buy the company, thus avoiding inheriting a whole load of deadweight

I'm taking all the good arguments below.
Other than that, Accenture get's for small money 20% more revenue.

I would not bet on any of the scenarios. Sometimes M&A is not pure logic.

Accenture are cherry-picking all the parts of DXC and their clients they want - no need to waste money time and effort taking on all the Accenture-rejects (sorry DXC leadership team) as well in order to get rid of them, just leave them with a residual legacy keep-the-lights-on-until-we-permanently-turn-them-off business to run for a few more years

My thoughts exactly. Hard to see what they would have to gain.

Not yet Mike and Steakcutter cutting more $$ from the dying carcass of DXC and Accenture + others will take a cheap slice of DXC fire sale in next 2 years

I suspect it’s rather a flavor from Mike’s Accenture past. Why would Accenture be interested in taking over DXC?
