Thread regarding Ally Financial Inc. layoffs

No reason to waste your life here

There are many better companies that treat employees much better than Ally. All the people I know who quit in the past few years still think that's the best decision they made career-wise. I've been looking for about a month now and as soon as I get the right offer, I'll be gone. There are no reasons to stay here.

Calm Down.

The previous comment had nothing to do with "Empathy".
It had everything to do with EXPECTATIONS.

For many of us... most Jobs are just a "paycheck"

We show up, we do what we can, and we go home.
We don't put all our 'Hopes & Dreams' into the company.
We have a LIFE outside of 'work', and that's where our Priorities lie.

Times have changed.
"Loyalty" to an employer ended two Decades ago... when PENSIONS where phased out.
If you insist on being Loyal to your job... then go start your own business.
Work for yourself & build your own kingdom.

In the meantime,
Let Ally be a 'Lesson Learned'.
Manage your Expectations going forward...

and get Back out there >^^<

No, it’s not true for most jobs. Ally has handled all of this horribly, and to watch JB commit the biggest conflict of interest by going to Rick Hendrick makes it even more out right disgusting. I’m shocked the other dealers haven’t lost their sh$t about it yet.
Yes, those laid off will eventually get over this debacle and move on, but Ally hurt a lot of their best and brightest, while leaving 95% of management untouched. Just let people grieve…ge-z it’s call empathy…try getting some!
