What is the reason behind adult beverages(beer and wine) being offered at the Holiday Party?

Make sure you look at your paystub after the holiday party. I’m sure Wayne will include a deduction in everyone’s paychecks to pay for it.
To get tipsy and have a good time……are you serious asking why booze would be at a party? Please never invite me to your house for one

Colorado has it available every year. It's not "open bar" or anything but it's available for purchase. And last year they had a bar around every corner at the venue.
So we get a day off from being waterboarded with kool-aid? Continuing with the toilet theme, I would insist on seeing where any mixed drinks were prepared. I heard it will be sangria made from nail polish remover and rotting fruit left over from the executives' breakfast buffet.

Yes, I’ve heard that they will be serving alcohol this year at the Xmas party. This is probably Wayne’s way of trying to be liked by the employees and seeing if they’ll forget how 4 day RTO is weeks away and how he lied to thousands of employees about staying remote.

It is to get people loosened up to shoot off their mouths. That way they can be fired, and USAA avoids having to include them in layoff labor statistics.
The reason it's being offered is because a 6 day a week RTO is coming, and you will need to kiss a statue of Wayne that will be installed in every office. That will take the place of the turnstiles. So drink up at the party, you will surely get hammered, then get hammered even harder in 2024.
