Reading the severance documentation, and it says it's based on years of service, but there's a minimum and maximum benefit applied. Does that mean by default, regardless of years of service, you're entitled to the minimum benefit?

Im a band 3 with 7 yrs at cigna I was offered 14 week’s severance
Yes, I'm asking if you’re eligible at all if you have less than 1 year of service. The policy doesn't clearly state so I wondered if the 1 year was a minimum eligibility requirement.
Do you mean would you even be eligible for severance? I saw that the qualifications were if you were a regular employee, but they didn't list out how long you need to be a regular employee for. Does anyone know? Does it matter?
All Band 4 employees get 2 weeks pay per consecutive year of service with a minimum of 16 weeks.
So if you have 10 years, you will get 20 weeks.
If you have 5 years, you will get 16 weeks.
I believe Band 3 gets a 14 week minimum.
What if you have less than a year of service?
