Did not happen. So the postings on big wave in November and February are just speculation aka rumor.

Being rif'd and dealing with stupidity is just to much.
The rumored 11/2 layoffs due to RIF within the company DID IN FACT HAPPEN!! Just because you or your department were not affected, doesn’t mean others were not. This wave of layoffs was not as public as the last because it was expected. The 10/20 wave with notice given mid-September was more talked about as the employees (former) were more vocal. I think since the 11/2 was already expected people were just preparing for it. This company now knows as Elevance (stupid name thanks to Gail) does not care about employees and the effect this will have on them, mentally, emotionally and of course financially. Sc--w this company and the “redeployment” process. We were given the opportunity to meet with a III deployment associates who would review our résumé and help connect us with jobs within the company prior to our termination date. The redeployment associates asked for my résumé through a forced call. Meaning I had to contact them 2 to 3 times before they even set up time to speak with me… I sent her my résumé and heard nothing back from them at all. And all the posted positions on the company websites are in a different country. I believe that after talking to several associates who were RIF’d with me, the main reason (that was not disclosed by the company) was the fact that we were remote employees, and there was not an office location within 50 miles that we could go to once a week for the stupid hybrid model that Gail is trying to enforce. I was hired as a remote employee and all of a sudden Gail wants to change things and make it hybrid so since there’s no office location in my city (closed years ago) I was forced out. I don’t understand how it is ethical for the company to change the location of your job once you are ready hired. I also believe that I made too much money for my position, and that is why it was eliminated… So they could outsource and pay somebody 1/3 of what I made.
@OP+1ppeBgvB. Sorry to hear that you were RIF'd you deserved better. Interesting point about the benefits meeting. When I was RIF'd I was directed not to tell anyone. They wanted to control the 'Spin' apparently.
Ok so us that got RiF'ed had a Rif benefit meeting. No privacy there you could see all names of those attending. I thought it should have been a little more private.. you all doing ok ?
I didn't get RIF, but heard plenty. Leadership said we would be getting announcements about the changes and ReOrg on Friday, never happened. I asked about it yesterday and was told, maybe later this week. I think they decided to send nothing because they are trying to hide it. Most Co---e organization ever, since Gail came aboard.

This is actually not true. There were tons of ppl RIF’d. Unfortunately this one was less public. Additionally major moves were announced within the company impacting numerous leaders. Just wait.
Just because your department wasn’t directly impacted yesterday or on 9/21 doesn’t mean layoffs didn’t happen on those dates.
They most certainly did. Please scroll through the prior postings prior to posting something like this. It’s tone deaf and hurtful to the people that were impacted.
And yes, cuts are still incoming early 2024.

@OP+1ppeBgvB. Just because you don't know the impacted people (or they haven't posted on this board yet) doesn't give you the knowledge to say what has or hasn't happened. Unless you are an HR mole trying to spread or squelch rumors?

Lol. There was a RIF. I know several people impacted. Elevance does not announce these and do their best to keep them a secret. Just because you or someone you work with wasn’t impacted doesn’t mean they didn’t happen.
It absolutely did happen. I guess I’ll tell the people that I worked with who were let go yesterday that it was just a rumor. Maybe you can tell the other 5,000 on shore associates who were let go yesterday?
