I'm hoping we're done with layoffs at least for the year. I haven't been here long so I'm not sure if Oracle is known for layoffs during the holiday season, but I'm going to hope the answer is no. Please correct me if I'm wrong since I'd rather be prepared than lull myself into a false sense of security.

I highly doubt a 30-year VP was given just 2 weeks severance.
A bunch of layoffs in OCI and GBU/GIUs today - a week before Thanksgiving. I know personally at least 6 people let go yesterday and today, including a VP who has worked for Oracle for 30+ years who was given two weeks' severance.
I'm very glad I resigned last week.
So, no, the holiday period is not "safe"
Not sure if anyone is safe.
Oracle seems to be full a surprises.
They said a year ago, major reorg
I think LE will sell Oracle and just make something before he lets it waste away.
If there are no cuts this week we should be done for the year. 2024 will start a new larger round of cuts. They need to be done in FY 24.
The only ones that are ‘done’ are those who are let go!
Oracle will not lay off during the holidays, but the safe time ends January 2nd. If you are not sure that you are safe, don’t spend too much at Christmas.
If you make Thanksgiving, you are good until January 1st. Before then, only LE, SC and VK are safe.
Depends. What's your role and employee number?
More than likely. November 1 has become the annual "deadwood" layoff. Small, targeted layoffs go on all the time though.
Layoffs can happen at any time so always be prepared. I would think that any layoffs would be before Thanksgiving
