Is Viasat's severance pay based on length of employment with the company? Like do you get 1 week of pay for every year of employment you worked at Viasat? 2 weeks of pay for every year? How many years did you work there and how many weeks of pay did you get as severance?

its insane to have kept viasat stock in your 401k, I sold that sh-t the day they made the match @kvb+1povf1WB
Vacation time pay out is seperate from severance pay. Don't transition to "flexible time off" if you don't have to. This is just another deterioration of company culture.
Did you get recently let off? Is there department level layoffs still happening?
They gave pay for banked vacation. Did they subtract that from the severance?
Based on what they say I'll get, it's less than one week per year not counting the WARN time.
12 weeks for almost 5 years with the company. not sure if everyone gets the same or what the formula is. Do partial years count?
Perhaps it is 3 weeks per full year of service. 3 x 4 = 12
"According to CA WARN policy, those that got laid off get 60 days of pay, yes?"
Yes. Benefits included.
As for severance, I got less than 1/2 week per year of service.
According to CA WARN policy, those that got laid off get 60 days of pay, yes?
Hey All,
Do you know if anyone figured out the Severance in Cali.
Generally, it's no of years of service * x weeks?
Though, I won't be surprised if it's less this time, given stock is down.
God please take the sock to $100, attest my 401K and ESPP can recover :)
You don’t deserve severance. You are the fat that needed to be cut. So pathetic and predictable you’re all clamoring for a handout.
Less than a year working full-time for this company -- 4 weeks severance.
I got impacted last time & got 4 weeks pay for my 4 years of service, which wasn't substancial. Could have negotiated, if only the HR would talk!
It was 8-9 weeks last time for California- based employees
I was part of the L3H buyout and got 4 weeks for every year. The process took over a year to complete and that year wasn't factored into the payout.
Did they account for the inflation and economic to find a new job? It’s all for show.
