Thread regarding ViaSat Inc. layoffs

Was a pleasure working with you all.

Dear Viasat colleagues,

Although we never had the chance to bid farewell, I wanted to create this forum to express my gratitude. It has truly been a delight collaborating with each and every one of you, and I appreciate your unwavering support.

Like many of you, I too have been affected by the recent layoffs, which couldn't have come at a worse time during the holidays. However, "we shall overcome," and this challenging phase will eventually pass.

Was fun collaborating with all of you. Each VS1, NBN, VS2 was a challenge on its own and we did it. We will do it again maybe for someone else with top paying $$

Amen

There were actually some hard workers cut this time around who were just in the wrong place. The real efficiency gains would come from making the company less top-heavy and encouraging hard workers to transition to new areas rather than cut them and hire and train different people. That's more work for managers though and they've got activist investors breathing down their necks they need to show progress to.

The experience was a blast! It ended up with a layoff(never imagined), but I can't deny that it was a fun time and we were the only ones doing satellite networking back then.
( Huges didn't count)

Thanks, everyone!

This guy spamming every post, even a heartfelt post like this one, because one person on here keeps going after security. What a pathetic tu-d. It’s hilarious because it’s so basic and pathetic.
