Thread regarding Lumen Technologies layoffs

Veterans laid off at Lumen - impact on federal contracts, grants and subsidies?

Lumen has $ billions in federal contracts, grants and subsidies.

What are the impacts on those contracts, grants and subsidies if they are not meeting federal guidelines for recruiting and retaining veterans (see VEVRAA)?

My husband had just finished an involuntary recall to active duty, over 9 months in the Middle East and 400 days away from family and 4 weeks after his return he was laid off. The SVP told the staff he wasn’t expecting my husband to come back so that is why the laid him off.

This company is nothing but corporate frauds! They take all the money from the Government and put it towards a book on how to lead! This Woke agenda is garbage! Ask them how much money they took for the pandemic only to lay people off during that time! Way to show Empathy during a dark time Lumen! Fu! Hope you go BK as you earned that!

I'm a 3 tour combat vet. Lumen canned me today as well. Corporate America at its finest.

I was a veteran! They had no problem with pushing me out the door! You’re just a number at Lumen!
