I am not sure if I would be happier if I am not laid off or if I am laid off. I shouldn't feel so ambivalent about something like this.

I received the weird invitation too. Don’t think it has anything to do with layoffs. Just very weird one. Maybe randomly picked list since company has 90,000 employees.
The webinar is not mandatory, it says optional right on the top next to the names. It's a 3 part series. I received it but do not see anyone else on my team or anyone I know. I declined it.
@1rhe+1po4Lea7 I wasn’t part of the group that got rif’d but there is something about what is going on that I have this urge not to just stand by and watch what’s happening. I want what’s happening to be known!! If anyone starts a group or knows of one already in place to bring attention to this let me know, I’m in! I’m not a fan of this cancel culture but I’d support a cancel culture movement against what Anthem is doing and other big corps. Toss their employees away, take benefits, pensions & PTO away all while raising prices on their customers OR customers while they get 50,000,000+ million a year. The greed is crazy af. All those let go are in my thoughts. Sorry rant over ;)
Thought that invite was weird but several people I know in different departments received it. Probably damage control so folks won't jump ship.
Sorry to hear all of this bad news. If you are mad, put that anger to work. This is a very sloppy and mismanaged company. They cut corners, lie to their clients and regulators. If you want to get some. File complaints with the elected officials of the states they operate in. Talk to the press about your experiences here. These companies are all on the state and federal radar. This managment team is, sloppy and ineffective.
Toxic work environment
I got the 3 part webinar too, I thought it was weird. I have no idea what this is about. Maybe prepping for the next round of lay offs in Jan/Feb. who knows what they are up to.
I thought everyone got the webinar for next week? Is this still the case if not I’m worried
Does every group get the webinar series? Or is it only the selected few?
I wasn’t laid off and I also got the invite, I thought it was extremely weird.
No it’s not. The meeting is with the VP of diversity and is a 3 part webinar. Not sure why only some people got the email invite. Unless it’s just a plot to get us all to join the call without suspecting anything.
The webinar is for the next round of people cut. It's just a little lub before the F&^%
I got the Webinar and declined it. Got another invite 30 min later and deleted it. Not sure what it’s all about. Really bad timing on the companies part to be sending HR invites out. Complete mo--ns running things.
I got the webinar and looked at the invites and do not know anyone on the list.
I wasn't laid off but got the webinar
@jpr+1po4Lea7 I also thought the webinar was an odd invite. I was not part of a layoff but not everyone on my team got the email. It was a bit unsettling.
What is that webinar for the laid-off or those who remain?
It’s such a crooked industry, very hard on the moral compass! Starting with a 300% pay increase amongst the executives after Covid. So. F*cked. Up.
When I got riffed a couple years back I was days away from giving my resignation. I laughed when I got the phone call from my boss and HR and told them so. There was a beautiful awkward silence. Free severance thank you very much.
Take more than you give to this place, that's real 'work life balance '.
I asked to be laid off. UGH. I didn't get picked. I'm leaving on my own in December.
How about that mandatory webinar series.
It's not for the associate's benefit. It's to cover their bases. Empathy? Grief? No, Propaganda.
I hear you. I need my job but this isnt a healthy way to live.
