I emailed pcbp@viasat.com regarding the redemption of outstanding Stars awards.

This is their response:
If you have Star awards that you have not yet redeemed or have questions related to your Stars account, you can contact Workhuman Customer Service at customerservice@workhuman.com or 844-732-5501.

Guru Selfie dud, would be nice to invest in innovative rather than show profit by cutting heads. Seems like fake dud with skill. MarkD Seems lost control of the company.

800 employees exiting in this RIF thats maybe 10% of Viasat workforce. May save $100m in op ex in 2025. Not sure -$100m will save Viafat

Since Guru joined in April the share price has plunged over 60%, the restructure with Inmarsat is a mess, over 800 innocent employees have been laid off, 2 satellites have been lost, we've told shareholders that we have no intentions to replace those satellites when we drastically need to to meet future capacity requirements, competition is eating our market, banks are having fire sale over our bonds and the company is worth less than its debt. What do the employees of Viasat have to look forward too over the next 10 months of his tenure?

You have to mail it back and they take forever to send the box. If you’re having to relocate for a new job, bug the PNC email and they’ll send it faster.

For those of you who were working from home when laid off, what happens to your laptop? Do you have to mail it back to them?

Hey there. My husband was laid off too today. They sent him an email to his personal email address which contained all the information regarding separation. I’m sorry that happened to you too.

GuruSAT is leaning hard on outsourcing OPs and whatever else he can to India. Gonna be interesting to see how this shakes out on the government side. Really hope all of the vets at Viasat take notice.

This is the new culture because of Guru and Inmarsat. They do not care about us. All about lining their pockets. Lying to us when the deal closed and about having plenty of money. I get their may be areas that are bloated but how much more can you cut from ur corporate functions until their is no one left to do the non-revenue generating work? This is going to be last straw for so many as the people left behind who are already burnt out will implode and jump ship. I am exhausted and now after both layoffs have to do the job of three people. Just maxed out.

Can't wait for that Guru and Mark announcement. Cue the all hands where Guru makes out of touch and tone deaf commentary. And Mark prattles on about bandwidth efficiency . Meanwhile the leadership that made the decisions that put the company in this corner will carry on.

I’m hearing 1000 got let go?
If that is true, why isn’t this on the news yet?
That has to be like 14% of the workforce?

I tested this and multiple people still showed Online on slack after they were cut. I think this may be related to WFH vs in office. If someone is WFH, the only way to cut them off is to block them from the network, which presumably will make them show as Offline. If they're in office, you can take away their computer and escort them out of the building, and don't need to cut their network access immediately since they already lost their laptop; these people may still show online for a while.

My point is, the layoffs may be over and IT is just finishing up the backlog of deactivating accounts.

They're still not done. Someone's name I searched for on Slack 1 hour ago and wasn't deactivated is now deactivated.

Re: COBRA, I can speak to the way it worked during the last layoff. After being laid off, people received many weeks of paycheck and benefits as if they were still employed, and once that ended they received a lump sum (severance) and the option to sign up for COBRA.

They are going to give me a lump sum to pay for cobra benefits, but it's going to be taxed as income.

This is a corporate (Viasat and Inamarsat) wide RIF. Every org is being hit with 5-15% layoffs. Viasat has been running fat for years with a much too diverse portfolio which drives higher costs. Hopefully, the company can now focus on a few core competencies and get on the positive side of cash flow

I was laid off in March and feel for those of you going through this now all due to how poorly the higher ups managed business. I was pi---d to get laid off and then see them hire another director (Guru) the week after over 300 of us lost our livelihoods. Hopefully y'all have success in the job market and can get back on your feet soon
