Anyone from the August layoff using COBRA for their medical? My paperwork says it will be supplemented to the employee rate for 6 months but that leaves a lot of questions.
Will we have our choice of plans?
Is the discount for Healthy Pathways still available?
Any other info available???

I signed up for the COBRA package, 4 months subsidized by Centene brings it to $238 per month for medical, dental, and vision. However I didn't see anything about the subsidy so I had to call Optum and they advised me that Centene forgets to send the subsidy information to them a lot so I had to call Centene and wait a week for Optum to get the information. When Optum gets the information you won't see the subsidy until you get into the payment part of the site.
Side note when I called HR and explained what I needed I was passed around until they found the right HR person that could help me, that person thought I was an active employee even after I explained I was laid off and they where not fully aware of mass layoffs.... Centene really needs to get their stuff together

Yes, COBRA is expensive...the healthcare insurance you received is expensive. Because I worked closely with HR while at Wellcare I was exposed to just how expensive it is. WellCare and Centene make available the cost that they subsidize. In my case Centene is currently paying $660.57 per pay period which is $1431/month... I pay $184/mo. So it makes sense that COBRA would come in at about $1600/mo for the same coverage. I have the least expensive plan they offered. The question was about the subsidy and if the Healthy Pathways discount was being extended.
There's no way the insurance that is offered is worth that much. It's probably better to shop on your local marketplace.
Oh yes I am from August layoff, I will need the medical dental and vision, just got my paperwork and it shows the full amount. I have to call Optum to find out how much they will charge with the subsidy they say they will pay because without it medical is $1600 dental $70 and vision $15…PER month…this is for myself and dependent. $1600 that’s right…one thousand six hundred dollars PER MONTH which is ridiculous. Sc--w you Centene!!
