I also remember SL saying it was a bad idea. I thought he was wrong at the time tbh, but he was 100% correct. Maybe not so much on buying Samsungs HDD biz, can't bat a 1000 every time.
It’s not for sale.OP is a mo--n.
forget it, not worth it
I think it's a great idea.
Sincerely, DG.
We are 6B in debt with paying interest on the debt proving difficult at best.
it's a money pit, so no
They were better off investing in their existing ssd business. Paid $19B to stay relevant in mobile compute and bet on enterprise flash. It proved to be a mistake.
Seagate is already hard up for money to continue to pay the dividend. Why in the world would they buy a money pit from WDC? When SL was CEO, I remember him saying that WDC buying Sandisk was a mistake. Looks like he was right.
Wouldn't put it past this lot..
BTDT (Seagate already owned Sandisk.)
they couldn't do anything with it, so don't think our leadership can
NO!!
Extremely bad idea. Why would anyone buy a mountain of debt?
