HR evaluating job descriptions and salary - no info on merit increases

What are we taking away from the “HR will be reviewing job descriptions etc etc” and “no salary change at this time” and “no info yet on bonus and merit increase.”

Medicare.

Yes can someone explain the recent promotions? There are so many people that were promoted that have no workload? The people that do the most work never get promotions. It’s insanity.

I feel like there were a lot of vanity promotions a month ago. And it created more disparity between the Lower ones who ki-led themselves during pre AEP and those who clearly did not.

So when they are evaluating job descriptions, are they going to lower some salaries?

Can confirm it’s happening.

Where they need to be doing it is in what’s left of the VCO and the new BTS teams under BLeCla. So many high titles and salaries without direct reports at all. Ridiculous waste of money and ironic given it’s the “value creation office”. Wtf.

It’s not posted. It was a meeting.

They’re looking for people who have titles that fit their current role. Also looking for people who have lots of directs but lower titles. It’s a balancing effort to ensure roles and responsibility are correctly calibrated.

Think Sr Director or Director or Sr Manager without direct reports. If they have direct reports do they have enough to support the HR expected # of directs. So, being a Sr Dir with like 2 directs isn’t going to cut it and they will lobby your leadership to downgrade your title or modify the org structure.

It’s ultimately not their call though. They’re using HR-developed rubrics and other models that they consider to be best practices. We all know it’s far more complex than that.

I believe we'll all get a flat increase this year. something insulting like 1.5%

What does that even mean? Are they planning on cutting wages now? Are there labor laws regarding this? Is it just Medicare or all LOB's? Where was this announced?
