Sunu to drive sale?

https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20231030024979/en/Windstream-Names-Paul-H.-Sunu-Chief-Executive-Officer

Excerpt:
“Paul is especially well suited to step into the role of CEO—he has deeply relevant industry experience, he knows Windstream well, and he is a proven leader with a strong record of moving fast and delivering long-term value. The Board is fully aligned in its belief that now is the right time for Paul to take the reins and lead the Company forward,” said Elliott Portfolio Manager Johannes Weber.

So the Board is all in agreement that now is the time for a guy familiar with mergers to drive. Got it.

Looks like it's time to buckle up kids. Remember, Zayo already looked at buying both Windstream AND Uniti. And who's sold to Zayo? Sunu.

Remember also that Wholesale was being shopped for auction.

Cutting Frontier and Windstream each in half and smashing the two matching LEC halves together and "creating value through synergy" is the kind of thing that M&A people think makes sense.

AT&T doesn't want this. Not one bit.

Zayo and Frontier have been in the rumors for over a year.

He's just here to make sure the next merger goes through. This is a short term play
