Thread regarding UPS layoffs

More layoffs Coming

The UPS stock price is down 14% since the beginning of October. Carol's plan book seems to be to go after non union U.S. jobs to cut costs. Would not be surprised to see more layoffs and outsourcing sooner than later.

Easier than doing the real work to actually build the company.

They should start laying off people at the air hub facilities 1st. We have a lot of retirement people working in operations. They should be offered a retirement package. UPS could hire two part time supervisor if needed

They laid off all the salespeople, so good luck getting the volume back the old fashioned way.

The company is sinking. "UPS stock suffers biggest selloff in 17 years as volumes were 'significantly lower' than expected in March" : https://www.morningstar.com/news/marketwatch/20230426350/ups-stock-suffers-biggest-selloff-in-17-years-as-volumes-were-significantly-lower-than-expected-in-march

More layoffs appear to be inevitable.
