Happy Returns uses reuseable containers with no labels but scan bar. The black containers go from person to person. Germs, roaches and and disease going around could be in the container and dirty up the returns. Then you buy someone else's returns later no knowing where they have been. All in the name of not using a clean box and packing. Time was buying a NEW product meant it was NEW and placed in a clean box for shipping.

Bed bugs, insects who on earth would want to even touch it. Some people quite honestly are not practicing cleanliness. Paying for new products means getting it new with a new box and unused stuffing for the box . Bad practice and could repel potential consumers.
We'll Be Rich! Some companies are trying to get rid of boxes and clean packing and make the manufacturer build a better box. Box goes to customer in original manufacturer box(read amz articles). Who cares odds of more damage more likely? Shipper saves fuel and space on delivery truck. Shipper receives more insurance fee's due to manufacturer knowing damage maybe more likely with less packing protection.
UPS has been my favo shipper till they started "Rural Deferral "which stores packages at the building area till a full load going rural is met. But charged the rural customer the same. This is wrong. So is "Happy Returns" is an unclean recycling of bags/boxes. Companies forget customers do have choices these days and can swap loyalities to another deliverer.
Everyone knows the outside of the box is not clean and goes shipper to shipper and must be sanitized at home however, we know the inside of box and the product was handled few times and odds lowered for germs etc. Recycled containers puts profits in company pockets but puts risk on consumers.
Could have some use maybe in Big metro cities with millions of people who may not mind a unclean container since their exposure is high anyway due to huge crowds.
Freight waves has the article on it. Damages alone would be an issue. Better to use sturdy box and clean filler. If damaged would sender be responsible?
Just touching the reuseable container to ship your returns out could be unsanitary compared to using a fresh clean box.
