There is nothing else keeping me here but the assumption that we'll have more layoffs in the next six months and that I might end up with severance. Every other positive thing about working at USAA has either disappeared completely or has deteriorated so much that is only a shadow of its former self. If I'm still here after the next layoff, I'll throw in the towel and quit.

Don’t take the severance for granted. I heard a rumor that HR is looking at the severance policy. There is pressure from the board to reduce expense, so a mass layoff with reduced severance is probably on the horizon.
I wouldn't rely on severance being in the plan. Texas is a no fault state and they can terminate you whenever for whatever.
I recommend looking for a job before you're competing with a few hundred others with your same job skills
May need to be open to contract work till the market is better! Severance plus a remote contract job that pays more and is less stress! I’ll take it! Might even turn into a fulltime gig! People here talk about how the grass isnt greener, yeah well, remote work is a giant start.
Make sure you have something lined up before you call it quits. The job market is horrendous right now and you’ll be competing with others who have been laid off. Take it from someone who was laid off in June and has applied to quite a few positions with minimal hits.
Forced RTO which happened this year was my tipping point! Im out after the march bonus! Which im sure will be another we did a great job, but the economy and other factors so here’s the impact to the bonus! Btw, get up and be greatful!
If you're at that stage, you should have quit a long time ago. Have some integrity.
I am staying till I finish my masters (if I can) and then bail. I doubt USAA would be willing to meet my bee salary requirements once I am done.
I tried that. Got fired before layed off.
Im only staying for the bonus, but in december, im vested in the pension. Im entitled to get $60 a month at 65, so im debating……😂😂😂
I’ve been saying this for months.
