3-2 policy compliance warning

HBT was hit with a very nasty compliance email regarding 3-2 policy, did any other businesses get it?

HR is garbage but the language seemed to be a bit much. I wonder how long everyone will keep pretending all is well and that everyone’s happy. Thinking back I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone saying anything positive regarding Honeywell culture.

I am in SPS and I haven't received the email. During the pandemic, I was in the facility 5 days a week for many weeks due to needed efforts. Since then I've been doing a 2-3 or1-4 schedule most weeks when I don't have to go in at all. Maybe Hineywell is not interested in continuing SPS operations and needs to show a certain level of staffing to have a hope of being able to sell it off?

I am guessing they mean that the VPN picks up the IP of the office building as opposed to your home router/cell provider. Having said, that last year we were told off for not badging in after lunch as people held the door open for others, well that can't be for 'Health and Safety' count as you do not badge out which is all really odd.
Might be a mix of badging in and VPN logins from on site.

I see people say they monitor vpn but i log on days I go in also to work before i drop off kids or in the evening so that seems incorrect if that’s what they’re monitoring. It must be by badge. If not then they’re getting wrong info. Yes I did get the horribly worded email. I am in aero. I complied but there were days I worked remotely on my scheduled office days because of mine or my children being sick and got permission from management per HRs written policy. I am honestly so confused by the whole thing it makes my head hurt.

The email was nasty. Honeywell is nasty. Crunching the numbers now because I don't think I can take much more of the abuse that gets dished out here on a daily basis. Life is too short. And Honeywell hates their employees.

Wow, what a horrible and demotivating email to send to employees. Some of our most hard working and dedicated engineers received it. They couldn't have made it any more clear that Honeywell just doesn't give a s**t about whether employees do work, just as long as they show up. Id--ts... The only person who should be fired is the person who decided to send out this email .

Yep, we were told by our Director at Fort Mill it was VPN login and logout being used to measure on site attendance. Three days there is too much, it a depressing job matched by an equally depressing environment and tedious colleagues.

VPN to be monitored to ensure you’re only at home no more than 2 days. No trust between management and staff whatsoever.

Fun fact: there have been many weeks that I had to be in the office for 4-5 days (not by choice), and I noted that even our HR generalist does NOT comply with the 3-2!

Has anyone been warned for not being in the office for the entire 8 hours for the 3 days? Heck, even my manager isn’t there the full 8 hours.

As another poster asked, is this to a specific group of people that DID NOT come in 3 5 or is it a SBG than WARNED about the ramifications?

I got the same message of non compliance 3 days in office, 2 at home. Will be reported to your manager, and you have 3 days from the date of the email to notify your HR manager if you have an exception like medical, or if you feel you are targeted in error. They’re full of sh-t. 1000% it’s how they want to layoff people and reduce headcount with having to pay people. They mentioned being insubordinate! Lol🤣 what a sht show! I’m in Aerospace, people quit all the time, we actually need to add people. If you reduce people, and have less people to pull in your parts for customers, then you’re not gonna meet your revenue targets. What a dmb fcking company! Considering people log in after hours for meetings, on the weekends to work, and I usually don’t take a lunch. If I go into the office, that means less work, because everyone is at your desk gossiping about the sht show! Honeynuts!

Don’t forget - it’s not actually 3-2, it’s 3+. They want us all to know that it’s acceptable to come in more than 3 days if we want. How nice of them.

Best get into the office - you have zoom and teams calls to be in. Wait, what? You could take those from anywhere in the world? Durp, forget that. Get back to work, slave, er, future shaper.

5 days in office is the end for cross site work. 6:30 to 3:30 for me.

We didn't get an email yet but earlier in week at a tier meeting it was stated - very clearly - that non-compliance will be considered insubordination.

The manager also stated that his performance would also be impacted.

So I'm guessing he will be tracking.

And yes, I do believe this is a way to reduce headcount without severance.

Curious, did the letter say you must be in the office 8 hours a day? Or just 3 days a week?

Blind obedience, i will follow their dictates . 8 hours in office as required. No before or after hour meeting support - laptop in trunk, phone on silent. I think next year’s gonna be a sh$t show anyway. I suspect their may be an exodus after the 401k match is deposited, or April 1st when 5+ policy is rolled out. HR will be watching badge in/out, so will be easy to fire ‘for cause’ so don’t be d-mb.

Yep, I got it too. Absolutely 100% about forcing people to quit. It’s also about control. The ruling class (corporate executives) are heavily invested in commercial real estate. They’re super pi---d it’s crashing. Mostly it’s about control though. And cruelty is the point. They get off on it. They don’t like the worker to have ANY power. It’s too bad they’re so successful at dividing us. If we all banded together we could crush them. They need us to maintain their lavish lifestyles. Which is also ki-ling the planet by the way, but that’s another conversion.

Yeah, I got this one too. I work my a-s off.. overtime, late evenings, and early morning meetings every single week. Sometimes, I don't come into work all 3 days just to carve out a few extra minutes of time for the family at the end of the day.

And what do I get in return from Honeywell? A threatening email saying I'm going to be terminated with cause, with chance of severance, due to "subordination".

F.U. Honeywell.

We have been warned in AERO as well. This just meant to help force attrition in the ranks so HON doesn't need to announce layoffs, which are bad optics for business. They know most older employees will just quit and the younger, fresh employees will leave too since they have literally zero incentive to stay with a trash company like HON.

This way HON can fire people without severance or people will get fed up and quit - either way, HON accomplishes the goal of reducing headcount
