You are worth what someone is willing to pay you and what you are willing to accept. It dictated by market conditions. To claim people are overpaid at Crown is ridiculous.

Oh please! Nice post, LN. while there are some overpaid people, most people are underpaid for the vast knowledge and skills that they bring. The constant restructuring and moving people into different roles by the higher ups who have no clue how the work actually is completed is why some will say they are under qualified. If those making the higher level decisions on process flow calmed their egos enough to actually consult those who actually do the work, we’d go back to being a well oiled machine. I’m not even touching the obscene lapse of technology and software. That itself is an embarrassment to the company.

Ok harsh reality check here for lots of crown folks. You are probably currently overpaid and not really qualified for your current role. With that said good luck finding work in the ever shrinking telecom industry. My advice is start working on yourself now and sure up your skills and professional certifications because you are not worth what you have been bilking from CC to date.

I know down vote this comment but it’s true, and the sooner you realize it the better. One last thing to note, long term commitments to companies are not in your best interest! The longer you stay the more you hurt your earning potential not to mention what you lose in a software vacuum when your company does not want to use programs that are already out there. Just sayin, now start the hatorade.
