I received my benefit elections for 2024 in the mail today. Has anyone else reviewed the information yet?

check out texas farm bureau if you looking at the marketplace. United healthcare network and not crazy for family coverage.

OP—I was recently laid off by USAA, and I found that in the short term, COBRA on my existing Aetna PPO would be more cost-effective for individual coverage.

In my situation, I’d already hit my deductible before I was laid off, I knew I’d be dealing with ongoing health issues and USAA offered to subsidize COBRA for the first six months for non-bank employees - which really softened the blow on COBRA premiums.

That said, with open enrollment from
11/1 to 1/15 on healthcare.gov, I still intend to compare plans in January if I don’t have another job by then.

I’m not sure what your situation is, but definitely crunch the numbers to see what’s most cost-effective for you.

I am posting this information because I have been laid off from USAA and will need to obtain Cobra or Marketplace insurance coverage. I am looking for suggestions from other people who are in the same position. Not sure why you are posting such a negative comment on a board for people who have been laid off?
