Thread regarding USAA layoffs

So that employee meeting was… something

So in other words… too bad on PTO this is what some other companies are doing, not sure if I heard right but it is going to be 4% merit across the board? So no matter if you are meh or amazing you get the same and no way to breach it? That is super weird if true. Also anyone else feel really bad for that poor guy who said he was nervous, asking a question and Wayne was pretty much like lol stand up? Like JFC this dude needs a management class. Not a way to make people feel valued my dude.

Hats off to the guy asking though. He did an awesome job even if he was nervous.

Saying it's 4% across the board is not accurate. Leaders are funded at 4% across the board for their teams, but that assumes everyone gets a ME 100%. If anyone gets an EE, that cuts into the 4% for everyone else in that team. It's literally impossible to give everyone 4% but Wayne keeps saying it in employee meetings pi----g off leaders who can't do that and any employee who doesn't get 4%. I guess it makes Wayne sound good to everyone in the meeting though so that's all that matters.

I’m a top performer and my raise last year was 3.25%, go figure, Wayne need that extra .75% to get his 157% increase.

last year despite being said by the CEO that it would be 4% and being told and rated as a high performer I only received 3%

no, he said the "average" is 4% ... understanding that higher performers will get more than 4%, some low performers will get less, and some may get a lump sum or none depending on their contribution and where they fall in their salary range. You should not expect 4%.

he mentioned a 4% pay raise across the board to account for inflation last year as well and that didn't happen, so I wouldn't count on it.
