Yesterday it took me 60 minutes to go what would normally take 10 minutes, so I turned around and went home. I figured that made more sense than continuing to sit in traffic. I was promptly told that was not to happen again. Still looking for the “flexibility” the ELT speaks of.
With first snow there’s always traffic delays. Took 2 hrs drive instead of 40 mins. If anyone thinks it’s effective to go to office during that weather, you can assure that work will not be effective.
“Flexibility” refers how you position your office chair / workstation to be more comfortable. You can even stand if that improves your productivity. “Flexibility” does not mean you are allowed to stay home every time there is a few flakes of snow.
I thought that bad weather warranted working from home?
